Dolores M.
Dolores is a talented and prolific artist with a strong sense of order and vision. Her work has been exhibited at Studio@620, artlink, folkfest st. pete 2007 and 2008, and is in numerous private collections. Dolores’ newest paintings, a series of Florida River Houses, are currently on exhibit in the Creative Clay gallery.
“I’ve always been inspired by outdoor nature and scenery. Painting these old Florida river houses (Cracker Houses) are just a part of my past traveling days of canoeing. I’ve always brought my Canon camera with me, looking for live action, various historical subjects or close-ups of nature. Then I select the most eye-catching photographs to paint from. Painting these river houses is a way for me to relive the experiences of connecting with the environments that I cherish from long ago. As time travels on, I consider myself more of a true artist. I believe that I have that natural born artistic ability to create something out of nothing.”
