Robin L. has been coming to Creative Clay since 2003. She paints people, animals and nature in bright colored shapes in a style she describes as “Cubist.” She draws in colored pencil and creates greeting cards that are sold in the Museum of Fine Arts Store. Her paintings can be seen in the Good Folk Gallery and have been exhibited in galleries, museums and business spaces throughout the Tampa Bay area. Her work is in many private collections. Along with her dedication to making art in the studio, Robin is active in the gallery arts program at Creative Clay where she assists the curator with art cataloging, labeling and installing exhibits.
Of her art making, Robin said, “I love to make art. It brings me happiness. I feel happy and calm and as I paint I am relaxing because I am in the process of creating art. My goal is to express my feelings. I get inspiration from my thoughts and mind, the art of Pablo Picasso, Cubism, and abstract art.”
