Latoya B.

Latoya became a member artist in the Community Arts Program in 2013, after attending the Transition Program where she learned many skills that she brought with her to the studio.  She is friendly and focused, a combination that brings her many friends and satisfying work.  Latoya’s time in the studio is spent trying new mediums offered by our teaching artists, and creating pieces that are well executed and gallery ready.  Latoya works in collage, paper-mache and needlework.  She created 3-D  paper-mached fish, birds and penguins.  Her beautifully stitched fiber pieces, such as pin cushions, ornaments, and flowers can be found in the Good Folk Gallery at Creative Clay, the Museum of Fine Arts Store and in the 2017 Holiday show at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center.
