Each year Creative Clay proudly participates in this exciting partnership!

Cordially Invited 9 is Make Studio’s annual international exhibition celebrating the creativity, perspectives, and professional practices of artists with disabilities! Make Studio is a community-based arts organization in Baltimore, MD.

The artwork of 5 Creative Clay artists, Grace P., Hazle and Ginger are Best Friends, Hanna Vogeler, Cat is Doing Tekwondo, Joey Kette, Red Bellied Piranha, Marquise Russ, Angels Floating Butterflies, and Scott McIvor, Wet Paint and Other Things and Signs Too, are in this juried exhibit.

Now in its ninth year, Cordially Invited brings together artists and progressive art studios from  across the United States and around the world for an exhibition that is as much about connection as it is about artwork. For nearly a decade, Cordially Invited has provided a platform for  studios centering artists with disabilities to share their work with the public – both highlighting the  diversity of disability arts and creating opportunities for local audiences to experience thought-provoking artwork they may not otherwise encounter. This year’s exhibition features more than 125 artists from 32 participating studios, offering an opportunity to discover new artists, encounter new perspectives, and celebrate the vibrant community of progressive art studios.

Additionally, Grace P. was invited to participate in Progressive Pairings, a new initiative that connects nine Make Studio artists with artists from nine other progressive art studios across the country. Grace's painting, "Mmmm...Cola" was selected by a Make Studio artist, while Grace selected work by that artist. As a pair, the artists collaboratively curate a set of artworks to be featured in the exhibition. This initiative has been especially meaningful in building community and connection between artists.

The exhibit may be viewed in person at Make Studio, Baltimore, MD from October 16 through November 23, and during their Opening Reception Saturday, October 17, 2–5 pm. It will be available virtually as well at www.make-studio.org/events.
