Volunteer!
Creative Clay has many rewarding volunteer opportunities, from working in the studio, Good Folk Gallery, Creative Thrift, becoming a Good Folk Ambassador, or special projects. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older for working on site during studio time. Considerations will be made for special events and projects and is at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator. All volunteers must fill out the volunteer application (button below) and consent to background screening and attend a mandatory orientation.
Volunteer opportunities include:
Studio Assistant
Working with member artists in the Community Arts Program studio and helping the teaching artists with a variety of tasks.
Gallery/Reception
Answering phones, greeting customers, sales, keeping gallery tidy.
Office Assistant
Filing, organizing, binder auditing.
Creative Thrift
Sorting donations, greeting and helping customers, keeping the items organized.
Special Events
Good Folk Fest (Fall 2026), First Friday Art Market, Second Saturday ArtWalk, Outreach, 3rd Party Events and many others!
Good Folk Ambassador
This new outreach team will represent Creative Clay at our outreach events and includes members of our Board of Directors. The Good Folk Ambassador Program invites passionate community members to stand alongside Creative Clay’s artists and help spread the message of inclusion through the arts. As an Ambassador, you’ll share how Creative Clay supports artists with disabilities in building confidence, professional skills, income, and belonging through studio programs, exhibitions, performances, and community events like Good Folk Fest and our First Friday Art Markets. Whether you love welcoming guests at events, connecting people through conversation, or amplifying artist stories online, you can help create a more inclusive arts community, one introduction at a time.
