Your Commitment

Becoming a member of Creative Clay’s Visionary Society, allows you to leave your mark, a true legacy, in the world by ensuring that artists with disabilities always maintain access to the arts and feel included in our art loving community.

The way you feel about inclusion, access and equality in the arts is personal. It plays a very important part in your life and especially in the lives of the many artists with disabilities that you care so much about. As an arts lover, you care about the livelihoods and successes of all artists no matter their abilities or socio-economic status and don’t want to see them left out of the beauty of the arts.

Whether it is our programs that bring art skills and job training to aspiring artists, our inclusive summer camp for kids of all abilities, or our outreach work that most inspire you, your bequest will provide a vitally-needed way for our programs to continue for generations to come.

Bequest Policy

VISIONARY STORIES

Hal Freedman-
Creative Clay Supporter Since 2013

My spouse, Willi Rudowsky, and I have no children.  We made the decision some time ago to create an endowment fund to carry on our giving patterns after we are gone.  The organizations we targeted with our Legacy gifts had some or all of several characteristics:

· They are involved in the arts, education, and/or inclusion of marginalized populations.
· They are local, with a few exceptions.
· They have longevity…they have a history that is likely to continue into the future.
· They are involved with social, political, and/or existential issues that resonate with us.

Creative Clay checks off many of these boxes.  In addition, as a longtime supporter and Board Member, I’ve had a chance to interact with the artists Creative Clay serves and inspires. The work the artists do, and the happiness it brings them, is one of the main reasons for our continuing support.

Ralph McCutcheon
Creative Clay Supporter Since 2014

For nearly a decade Ralph supported Creative Clay by volunteering his time and woodworking skills to create a more welcoming space. He worked on our events staff, created hundreds of perfectly assembled wooden painting panels for Creative Clay Artists to make work on, collaborated with artists on special wood working projects, and even ventured into working on papier mâché projects with member artists.

His love for Creative Clay’s mission was apparent, and his kind service will always be remembered by the artists and staff.

The folding A-frame chalkboard signs that he made to welcome visitors to Creative Clay are an every day reminder of his presence and good will.

Ralph was committed to Creative Clay’s vision and wanted to assure it was achievable. For this reason Ralph made sure to include Creative Clay in his will.

The bequest Ralph made to Creative Clay will propel us into the future and always be remembered through the Ralph McCutcheon Legacy Scholarship.
