Alec Ward, Teaching Artist

Alec was born in New York, but grew up in Easton, Maryland. He moved to St. Petersburg in 2017 and graduated from Eckerd College with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts. Alec joined Creative Clay as a Teaching Artist in the Spring of 2025 and currently resides in Gulfport.

As a 2D artist, his preferred medium to work with is paint. While his other skills include Graphic Design, Photography, Ceramics, Mixed Media, Poetry and Screen Printing. Some of his work has also been featured in VoyageTampa, WildRoof Journal, BeaverMag and Bold Journey Magazine.

 He enjoys running his own art business “FAR OUT MOJO” on the side where he sells his Original Psychedelic Artwork and Unique Goods. He loves creating art, gardening, disc golf, listening to good music, and being surrounded by nature.
